Mid Week Long Run

Six miles.  On a Wednesday.  That's what following a training plan will get ya.

Since I worked on Tuesday, I watched The Biggest Loser on the DVR yesterday morning.  Then, after I couldn't find my Tough Girl skirt/pants combo, I dug out a skirt/capri combo, grabbed my iPod and hit the road.

In spite of the weather report, the rains stayed away.  My long sleeves were a bit much, the temps approached 50 degrees.  Is spring really on its way?

After two miles, I checked my Garmin.  My pace was hovering around 10s, haven't seen that pace in weeks.  It felt good.  I was able to finish 6.01 miles in 59:50.  There's something bada$$ about running 6 miles midweek.

Post run I stretched!  For real!  I've done this 10 minute video a few times before, but I really wanted to do it post run.  Like, right after a run, no shower, don't change clothes and put it off after. Hopefully it will prevent injury and help my right quad from bothering me.

Happy Valentine's Day!  Since A doesn't have a boyfriend these days, and considers today a stupid made up holiday that makes single people feel bad, I didn't want to dwell on it too much.

However, S is out of town (we will celebrate this weekend), and I'm missing him.  I found this on Pinterest....

LYG
....since I have a Valentine, who reads my blog before he gets out of bed in the morning, I couldn't overlook the holiday altogether.

Enjoy the day!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!! I hope that you and S have some fun plans for this weekend. We aren't really going to do anything tonight, but maybe we will snowshoe or something over the weekend. My hubs is kind of sick right now. Yesterday he said he felt like a bag of rocks...whatever that means. Doesn't sound like fun. I can't imagine how awful a rock feels.

On a running note, 6 miles mid week is pretty bad ass! Especially with your time. Great job!

You are very bada$$!! I love that plan for that. It challenges you to go longer midweek! Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Sorry you are alone this year but I suspect S will make it up to you. :)

We are having a nacho dinner by candlelight. Kids are home. :)
